Shipping & Returns Policy – House & Clay

Thank you for supporting House & Clay. Every item we ship is handcrafted, packed with care, and created to bring beauty, comfort, and joy into your home. This policy outlines how we ship orders, how long fulfillment may take, and how we handle refunds or damaged items.

Order Processing & Fulfillment

All orders are processed in the order they are received. Please allow:

  • 3–5 business days for processing on in-stock items

  • Longer processing time during holidays or product launches

  • Special pottery drops or hand-built items may require additional time (this will be noted in the product listing)

Once your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking information.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on location, weight, and carrier rates.
We currently ship within the United States. If you need shipping outside the U.S., please contact us directly before placing an order.

Delivery Issues & Delays

Once an item leaves our hands, carriers control shipping timeframes. Weather, holidays, and third-party delays may affect arrival dates.

If you have concerns about tracking, we are happy to help you communicate with the carrier.

Damaged Pottery on Arrival

We take great care to package pottery securely. However, if your ceramic piece arrives damaged:

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Email clear photos of the box, the packaging, and the damaged item

  • Include your order number

Once verified, we will refund the damaged piece or send a replacement (when available).

After 48 hours, we cannot honor damage claims, because we cannot verify when damage occurred.

Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items

Due to the personal/body-contact nature of certain products, we do not accept returns on:

  • Soaps

  • Body scrubs

  • Body butters

  • Skincare items

  • Aromatherapy or topical body products

These items cannot be resold for health and safety reasons.

Pottery Returns (Non-Damage)

Because each ceramic piece is handcrafted and small-batch, all pottery sales are final unless damaged on arrival. We do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind

  • Color variations

  • Minor handmade variations

Handmade means no two pieces are exactly alike — that’s the beauty.

Lost or Stolen Packages

If tracking shows a package as delivered but you did not receive it, please contact the carrier directly. We are happy to assist, but House & Clay is not responsible for stolen or mis-delivered packages.

Incorrect Shipping Information

We ship to the address provided at checkout.
Please double-check your information — we are not responsible for orders shipped to the wrong address due to customer input.

  • Still protects you from people claiming weeks later
